Default Keyless entry module for 2007 Fit

I have a 2007 Fit, basic model I think. It has power locks but no keyless entry module/key fobs. I'd really like to install a module so that I don't have to manually lock and unlock it the old fashioned way. Pretty sure that the OEM module for this car is discontinued. Any ideas for a workaround?

Thanks in advance.

AFAIK, you can still obtain the system components for the remote lock/unlock/security system (P/N 08E50-SLN-100) from Bernardiparts.com or other Honda outlets, but the separate remote fob is discontinued. I'm not sure if you can use generic ones, etc. My daughter's 2007 Fit like yours only had power locks but no remote fob. When I purchased the Security System, it came with 2 remote fobs and after plugging everything into factory connectors and mounting, the unit not only locked/unlocked the doors but also now had a security system. I'm not sure if you could use just the key remote for a 2008 Fit Sport (remote is part of the key) and see if it will program the remote into the system or not. If it works, that might be an option. I do recall someone having a later model base Fit and he installed the security option in his vehicle but got a remote that was part of the key and was able to program it to work with his system. He merely cut off the key part sticking out so it wouldn't be much larger than a normal remote.
