Default Considering getting a Fit . . . .

Hi Everyone!
I am in the hunt for a reliable economy car with good gas mileage. I have liked what I have seen with the Fit so far. I joined this forum to learn about the problems that I may have with it, as I will be buying a used one with 100k+ miles on it.
I have a Honda dirt bike and atv, so I know Honda builds good products.
I plan on modifying mine, removing the rear seat and installing storage drawers and a platform as I use my vehicles as grocery/home improvement hauling. It will need to transport lumber, pipe, bags of cement, plants, etc.
I am also thinking of giving it a small body/suspension lift for slightly bigger M/S tires. Also a roof cargo rack. Am I crazy? Can you tell I have 4x4 SUV's?
